José González at Graham Chapel?
I was looking at José González's recently announced tour dates, and apparently, he's playing Graham Chapel at Washington University of March 19th. Does anyone know what the story is with this? The Gargoyle website has nothing to say about it, and I've never really heard of a musician like this playing in Graham Chapel. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe Chancellor Wrighton's a fan?
ReplyDeleteIt looks like he's trying to have a green tour, it could be that Graham Chapel is a better venue for that than the Gargoyle. He's also playing a synagogue and a masonic temple, so who knows.

ReplyDeletehow about u2 or the velvet underground at graham chapel in the 80s?!?! n00b!
An update on this: our intrepid reporter/GM Mikey talked to the Gargoyle, who said that he'll be at Graham Chapel because it's bigger than the Gargoyle and people can sit...put me in the skeptics category
ReplyDeleteGraham Chapel was used for concerts for years and years and years. My dad used to go to shows there when he was at WU in the '70s.
